What's the Difference between Cleaning, Sanitizing and Disinfecting?

 

Cleaning removes dirt

Cleaning involves the removal of dust and dirt, but doesn’t necessarily eliminate germs. Although conventional cleaning doesn’t kill germs, it does physically remove some germy dirt from surfaces, and should always be the first step in your household cleaning and disinfecting routine.

Sanitizing can reduce bacteria

Sanitization decreases, but doesn’t necessarily eliminate, the amount of bacteria identified on the product’s label. Keep in mind that even EPA-approved sanitizers only carry claims for bacteria, not viruses

 

Disinfecting kills germs

Disinfectants can effectively eliminate bacteria and viruses as specified on a product’s label. In fact, only disinfectants are approved by the EPA to kill viruses on hard surfaces. That’s important, because disinfecting hard, nonporous surfaces is one of the most reliable ways to help lower the risk of spreading germs from surfaces by touch.

What If I Need to Cancel?

If you wish to cancel or reschedule a cleaning appointment, at least 48 business hours' notice (excluding weekends) is required. We must adhere strictly to this policy in order to prevent lost wages for your cleaner.

 

If a cleaning appointment is cancelled less than 48 hours in advance, or if the cleaner is unable to enter the house, a cancellation fee of 50% of that cleaning's cost will be charged. If an open ended (hourly) cleaning is cancelled less than 48 hours in advance, a cancellation fee of $75.00 will be charged.

If a cleaning is rescheduled by the client less than 48 hours in advance, rather than cancelled, a fee of $25.00 will be charged.

 You are welcome to call our office 48 hours prior to your cleaning day (excluding weekends).  Cancellation of any service agreement is subject to a 50% cancellation fee.  Any monies collected for your deposit will be added to the 50% cancellation fee and Client will be responsible for paying the balance due.

All of our packages are customized to meet the Client’s cleaning needs.  We offer one-time, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly appointments.
